Your Fragrance Questions Answered

Is fragrance safe for your skin?

Yes. Fragrance can be safe when it's properly formulated and used within established safety standards.

At dŌSA Naturals, every fragrance is IFRA-certified and makes up only about 3% of our formulation. The rest is powered by nourishing plant butters and botanical oils that help moisturize and care for your skin.

If you prefer products without added fragrance, our Bare + Natural collection is completely fragrance-free.

As with any skincare product, if you have known fragrance allergies or very sensitive skin, we recommend performing a patch test before use.

Are dŌSA fragrances safe for sensitive skin?

Yes. Every fragrance we use is certified by the International Fragrance Association (IFRA), the global authority that establishes science-based safety standards for fragrance ingredients.

Unlike many personal care products that rely heavily on synthetic fragrance, fragrance makes up only about 3% of our overall formulation. The remaining formula is built around nourishing plant butters, botanical oils, and skin-conditioning ingredients.

If you have extremely sensitive skin or simply prefer fragrance-free products, we also offer our Bare + Natural collection, made without added fragrance.

What does IFRA Certified mean?

IFRA (International Fragrance Association) develops and maintains the world's leading fragrance safety standards based on decades of independent scientific research.

Every fragrance used by dŌSA complies with these strict safety standards before it ever reaches your skin.

That means our fragrances are carefully formulated to be used safely in leave-on skincare products when applied as directed.

How long should dŌSA fragrance last?

Longevity depends on your skin type, environment, and application routine.

For the longest-lasting fragrance, we recommend layering:

  • Body Wash
  • Body Butter
  • Body Oil
  • Body Spray

Hydrated skin helps slow fragrance evaporation, allowing your scent to remain noticeable for many hours throughout the day.

Should I apply body butter before perfume?

Yes.

Body butter creates a moisturized foundation that helps fragrance molecules adhere to the skin more effectively.

Applying fragrance over hydrated skin can significantly improve both longevity and scent projection compared to applying fragrance to dry skin.
